BURNSIDE MARKET. Dunedin, May 1/5. Fat Cattle.—l9s'head ot which a fair number were good to prime. Competition for best beef was fairly keen, and prices were maintained. Unfinished met with a fair sa'e. Best bullocks, exceptional weights, £lll2s (id ; prime £9 to £10; medium, £7 to £S 10s ; light, £5 to £6 10s; prime heifers, £7 2s (id ; light, £3 10s to £5 10s ; fat cows, up to £6 2s 6d. Fat Sheep.—29o4 penned, the majority consisting of old ewes, with some pens of very prime wethers. Prices sho«v a decline of Is to Is 6d on last week’s rates. Prime crossbred wethers, 16s Cd to 17s 91; good, 16s 3d to 16s; -light, 13j 9d bj 14s 9d; extra heavy ewes, 16s to 17s ; good, 13s 9d to 14s 6d; medium, 12s to 13s 6d; aged and unfinished, 9s to 11s 6d.
