At the present/ time the workshops had, as much work ag possible'for ‘them to undertake, but though considerable extensions of the workshops were being made, it was bob at present contemplated tp establish any ' more workshops; “it would not bp judicious to duplicate whole sets of machinery He*, hoped to see the d»jr • when the whole of the manufacture of ■ railway rolling stock could be kept itv the; colony. The growth oltraffio in recent years hpd, however, been so rapid that it was hopeless to expect that a sufficiency could be made in the time required.
