There was a yarding of nearly 10,000 sheep and about a dozen head of cattle yesterday, buyers attending well, and prices being consequently good. Sheep.—Good young ewes brought 16s Cd to 17s 6d, old ewes 10s to 11s, fat ewes to 17s, one pen of heavy-weight wethers as high as 19s. Store lambs realised 12s 6d to 13s. No fat lambs were offered. Cattle.—Two-year-old steers brought £3 Bs, yearlings £2 Is. One dairy cow was bought in at £6 10s.
