The Death on the Talune.
Sydney, March 3. Owing to certain suspicions circumstances corning to the knowledge of the City Coroner, the body of P. Conway, the Dunedin passenger who died on board the Talune on February 19th, was exhumed from the Rockwood Cemetery yesterday. An inquest was opened and adjourned to Friday. It will be remembered that when the remains were landed in Sydney the Coroner dispensed with the inquest, the cause of death being given as a fit, to which the deceased was alleged to be subject. The authorities are very reticent in regard to the matter, the Coroner intimating that it was not in the interests of justice to publish the evidence at present. Statements are made that Conway was supposed to have had certain valuables in his possession, but a search of the luggage failed to discover any.
