The Indian Troops.
DunjEDIN, March 3. The crowd vhich turned out to witness the maich of the Indian troops, lid not fall much short of that for the European section of the representative corps. The Indians were heartily cheered along the whole route. "Volunteers, to ■-the number of 400, headed the procession, the Garrison Band playing Before the Indians, the cavalry section of which was mounted. The Mayor welcomed the men, and the Hon. C. H. Mills made a short speech. Many of the Indians visile 1 the theatres in the evening. After the warmth of Saturday, the 'weather is again cold to day., and the Indians kept mostly to their quarters.
AT STUDHOLMB JUNCTION. A large number of people patronised the special train to the Junction, yesterday, to see the Indian troops, a good crowd also going by road. The troop train arrived up to time, if not before, being greeced with cheers. The Hon. C. H. Mills and Colonel PolePenton were also on the train. I'ho allotted time of ten minutes was spent in conversation between the troops and the spectators, the train departing amidst hearty cheers. His Worship .the Mayor of Waimate (Dr Barclay) and the Town Clerk (Mr C. Akhurst) proceeded by the train to Timaru.
