The' s.s. Dalhousie leaves at mid-; night for Nelson, thence she_wiH go ; to-Dnncdin, where the corps will; disembark, one company going to Christchurch, the other to the Bluff. On the return of tin troops, the vessel will leave the colony via : Cook Strait. ' I
The Mayor of Timaru (Mr J. Hole) on Tuesday received the following telegram from the Premier : Yon will be gratified to know that arrangements have been definitely male for the Indian troops to visit the South Island. Immediately on arrival at Christchurch they' wili proceed direct to Dunedin and Invercargill, and on the return journey they will probably stay a short time at .the intermediate stations, and act in the same line as the Imperial troops. However, full particulars will be communicated when details are formally; arranged.
