Garden Party.
Yesterday a most enjoyable garden party was held at “ The Waimate,” when Mrs Studholme invited the members of the Mothers Union and the Ministering Children’s League (of both of ' which she is president’; to spend the afternoon at the homestead. Drags, sent by the hostess, conveyed the visitors from town to “ The Waimate.” Abundance of refreshments was provide;!, and games were organised among tinchildren, the elder people locking on or strolling through the grounds, which wore thrown open. Daring the afternoon, speeches were given by Mrs Stud lolme and Mrs McKonzb-* Gibsm, the president ielating, in a very interesting manner, some of her early experiences in Now Zealand. The house the late Mr
Studholme built still stands, and was an object of much interest to the vi i ora, who spent a most enjoyable cl *y, Mrs Studholme, M ss Studholme and Mrs Francis all assisting in the work of entertaining them.
