Grand Christmas Carnival.
We remind our readers that this ' flhoW 'of the century ' olose3 tonight, and all who .have not seen it should' try to do so. Thanks to the hearty l support accorded, the f cormnittee has been enabled to give a free show unsurpassed in South Canterbury. Last night brisk business was done, a large crowd having assembled in response to the strains- of the Waimate Band, who generously gave their services free. To- night the members of the Waimate Hifles, who have T)ecn bo successful m Dunedin, will- give " a gymnastic display. All the large articles will be raffled this' evening.
