LONDON'S OVERCROWDING.

I In 1801 there were 900,000 people living in London whose condifcicu amounted to illegal overcrowding as denned by Act of Parliament. Since 'then the popu« lation of London iv computed to have increased by 800,000, aad a great part of this increase is in the over-crowded areas.
