THE SMART BOY.
At one of our local schools the other day one of the pupil teachers was trying to explain the meaning of some proverbial sayings. Finally she read out, " Riches take unto themselves wings and fly away." " "Now what kind of riches," she continued, " is meant by that ?" A shock -headed boy, who reckoned hmisolf a " sniarty," promptly spluttered out, " Please, mam, they must be ostriches."
