Yesterday afternoon the following telegcam was yeeeived by Mrs Freeman:—"! am v'^V.; 1 '-'• '-> f ble to Inform yon that TO i r -o», Ho. 307, Privste Freeinani y.^c waa ricorrectly reported -as <3*.^d t jno.Ton board the Gothic and will ijrrivd i}li }1 New Zealand in about three •weeks. — B-- J« Beddon." This sets at , re .t til f«irs as to Trooper Freeman's safety, which has caused his friends so .•much anxiety. The Gothic will call at Albany and Hobart, at 'which la,tt«r Ip laco Trooper Freeman will have the <ciiriouB experience of reading his own 'obituary notice, as Mr H. Franklin, < o f Wairtiate, was so convinced that Mr jreeman was on the "Gothic that h« neat paperj and letters explaining the •we, by yeiterdny's mail, before the rwnfirniatory telegram had arrived.
