STUDHOLME SALE.
Messrs Gtunness and LeCren report that at this sale yeitsrday there waj an entry of 2000 sheep and 100 htad of caitio. There was a strong demand for young sound breeding ewes, which were not in evidence. CattHe met * -very healthy demand at increased prices. The sales effected were i — ' Sheep— Fat hoggets, ISa 9d ; 2 and 4-tooth f-bred wethers, 18a 9d ; fat and forward full-mouth ewes (mixed), 10a 6d ; 2, 4 and 6-tooth ewes in lamb, 15s lid ; 4 and 6-tooth i-bred ewea in lftßLb, backward condition, 18s lid; full-moufch ewea in lamb, 12s 6d ; a lint of and f-bred full mouth •wts in lamb, 13s Id. Cattle- 8 and 4-yenr-o!d «t«ers, fat, | j£7 ss; 8-year-old steerß, fat, £6 10b; 3-year-old steern and heihrs, forward condition, £3 to £4 13s ; medium store 2 and 3-year-old steers, £2 17s ; large framed forward steer, .£8 ; milch cows in full profit, £8 to £5 ; young springers, £5 to J96 7s 6d ; old dry cows, 80a to 87a ; yearling steers and baifers, £1 11 ; caWeß, 10s to 19a.
