TRAWLING EXPERIMENTS.

The Minister of Marine has arrange , that the steamer Doto, after testing ths grounds off Wanganni as a trawling area, Will try those off Pdtea. Afterwards she will fce^fc the grounds off the Tangaporutu Rivor, in the North Taranaki Bight. In concluding her expeiiaienfcal cruise, the Doto will vihifc parts of the coast of the Auckland province. Areas off Gisborne, and between that port and Napier, -will be te3bed. It is considered that the result^ so far obtained, not to speak of subsequent ones, will amply justify the expenditure of the moderate simi of iCSOO which Mr Hall-Jones had placed on the Estimates for making these trawling experiments.
