Steady business has been done in small lineß duiing the past week, but only for local and immediate requirements. An easier feeling is, however, noticeable at the end of the week, though there is no quotable change. Good milling wheat has been bought at 2s l£d, delivered in town ; Danish oats, la 6d to Is 7£d on the same conditions. Barley is also weaker. We quote ex store, sacks extra ; Id should be added for f.0.b. : Wheat. : Tuscan, 2s 2d ; velvet, 2s l£d ; red chaff, 2s ; old wheat not quoted. Oats. — Danish, Is 6Jd to Is 7d ; duns, Is 7d ; milling, Is Bd. all new season's, old season's not quoted. Barley. — Prime malting (North Otago), 2s 2i. \ Grass Seed. — Byegrass,* farmers' dressed, Is 6d to Is Bd, according to quality ; aoeksfoot, 2Jd to 2|d. * Potatoes, 35s per to a on tracks at sidings, sacks in. Eggs, Is 2d. Butrer, 7d and 8d dairy ; lOd and Is factory. Pork, BJd ; hams, 8d ; bacon, 6|d. Cheese, sd.
