STUDHOLME SALE.
Messrs Guinness and LeOren (per D. P. McLean, agent) report that at this sale yesteiday the entries comprised 4000 sheep and 50 head of cattle. There was a steady demand in the sheep market at late prices and a very fair clearance resulted. Store cattle were also in good demand at slightly increased priced. Sheep. - Wethers and maiden ewes, forward condition, 14s ; 2-tooths, backward, 12s 6d ; fat ewes, 12s 7d ; lambs, half-bred Shropshires, forward condition, lls sd ; good stores, half and three-quar-ter-breds, 9s to 10s lid ; medium, 8s 6d ; ewes, 4 and 6-tooths three-quarter-breds, 13s 6d to 14s 4d; 8-tooth half and ihree-quarter-breds, 10s lid to 12s 6d; old ewes, 6s 6d. Cattle.— Springing heifers, £8 17s 6d to £5 7s Cd ; 3-year-old .heifers, £3 17s 6d : fat cowb, £i to £5 12s 6d.
