A Socialist deputation protested ag;in)t>t the brutalitj ot the police at Loutjchamps on Sunday. M. Dupuy defended their action, and insisted on a vote of confidence. The Chamber by 321 to 173, resolved to only support the Government while they were determined, to energetically detend the Republic and ensure order. Interpreting this decision as a covert vote ot censure the Ministry resigned. It is believed that M. Dupuy rode for a tall.
