For Women.
The New Zealand National Council of Women, which has been meeting in Auckland dm ing the third week of this month, has established for itself a leputation for thoughtful study and able discussion of the many and diveise subjects dealt with. Regardless of the unfavourable and unfair comments of these superior persons, the National Council of Women has met year by year, and by earnest and effec ive work has made for itself a name, so that now in place of sneering funny pars the newspapers speak with respect of the thoughtful paper of this member, the able speech of another, the thorough giasp of the subjects shown and the valuable resolutions ariived at. The extensive repents of the meetings given by the newspapers should be of the deepest inteiest to all
