Oddfellowship.

The Loyal Heart of Friendship Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., held a summoned meeting on Monday evening last, when 36 members were present. The Provincial Grand Master of the Lyttelton District, Bro. H. E. Asquith, paid the Lodge an official visit. The N.G., Bro. Geo. Evans, on behalf of the Lodge, welcomed the Pro. G.M. to the meeting, and at the same time congratulated Bro. Asquith on iris success in attaining the c st office in th& district-

P.G., Bro. David Watts, proposed the toast of the evening, wishing the. Piov. G.MI " health and happiness." In reply, Bro. Asquith thanked the members for the hearty reception caccorded him by the members, and tinsted he would have ths support of each member of the Lodge, and a^o of the other Lodges in the district, in carrying out his woik during his term of office. The report of the District Meeting, held Lyttelton on Match 9th, was read by the secietarv. - The G M., in his address, CTigrati^ated. the distucfe on the stiides it had male, in spite of the fact that the average sick pay per member for the year stood at 30s, the accu^ mulated funds of the distnct hal lmreasod by £667, and now stood at £16,000. Themembeishrp had incieased by 45, and now at 814. The report was received and discussed, and a vote of thanks passed to P.G., Bio. EL Watts, for his attending the district meeting as deputy.
