FORESTRY.

o The quarterly meeting of Court Forester's Pude was held on Monday evening, a large number of members being present. C.R. Bro Inkster presided. The auditors' report showed that the membership had increased from 104 to to 110. Out of £265 3s 8d received from members .£145 was paid in sick pay. The sum of £782 was invested in freehold property yielding 6 per cent, interest, while £3i4 odd was deposited in the P. 0.5.8., and the Union Bank of Australia at 3 per cent. They would recommend an investment of at least £200 of this amount. The balance-sheet was taken as read, and both adopted. Officers were elected as follows : — C.R., Bro. P. Grant ; 5.C.R.,8r0 0. M. Wilson ; S.W., Bro. E. Bishop; J.W., Bro. W. Wheeler ; treasurer, Bro. E. J. Atwill ; secretary, Bro. M. Taaffe ; 5.8., Bro. T>. Shepherd ; J.8., Bro. W. Ely ; medical officer, Dr Barclay ; auditors, Bros. Coltman, R. Inkster and A. Bitchener. P.C.R. Bro. Inkster installed the C.R., who then inducted his subordinates. It was decided to present P.C.R. Bro. Inkster with a P.C.R. neck ribbon and star. One member, now in Wellington, made application for clearance, and this was granted. It was decided to transfer £150 from the management expenses fund to the sick and funeral fund and also to pay 7s 6d per week to a distressed brother for six months. Accounts and sick allowance amounting to £37 2d were passed for payment,, and the Court closed. Receipts, £53 15s 6d.
