Cattle. — 253 head of cattle were yarded, a fair proportion only being good bullocks. Aged cows were in strong evidence. Good quality beet excited keen competition at tlie opening, but as business, progressed the bidding became less brisk, and there was an all round drop of 103 p3r head on last week's puces. Best ballocks brought ,£3 to £3 10s, medium £6 12s 6d to £7 17s Gd, others <£4 to £S 10s, bsst cows and heihjis £5 5-> to <£6 ss, medium £3 15s to i.'4, others £2 10s to ,£3 12s Bd. Shoep. — 1695 fat shoep were penned. Only one third were fair to good wethors, the balance half fat wethers and ewes, with a few pens of vnv heav\ ewes. The t.ales opened at a slight decline and held at that all through the day. Suckers brought 11s to 15s 6d, slips 20s to 235, stares 25s to 32s 6d, porkers 08s to 40s, baconers 55s to 58s. Wheat. — For foul feed there has been more inquiry, lesulting in considerable business, but pending the armaloithe new crop there ib nothing fiesh to lepnrt in respect to othei boits.
