North Island steers fetched ,-C7 to £8 7 s fid, local X' 4 10s to £6 15s. heiteis ,-C,'J 7s Od to C'u", cows £3 5s to £5 I 5; k and good to pi mid beet 15s to 17s (kl pei 1001 bs, other down to l"2s. Shcop. — The f<it sheep included a few gjod liaca of ireoi'iin* wetheis, but the bulk were eWes. ])esi, treozeis maintained late rates, los Od to 15s, medium do. l'2s to 13s. TivuL> ewes sold irregularly. Best sorts fetched 10s to 12s. medium 8s fco 9s 6d, and intoiior Cs to 7s 6d. Any really good freezing Limbs brought fully up to last week's rates, 10s 3d to 11s Gd, but othei ants weio easier, ranging from 8s to 9.s fd. The bulk ot the stoic sheep were cues, and except for a few good young soi t? prices were easier. Wethers brought 9s 6d to lls Id. nntod two tooths 9s 6d, a;ood \oung ewes 9s to lls 2d, secondary soits 6s Gd to 8s 6d, and aged 8s 6d to os. Pigs — The impoitation of fat pigs from the North Island aileetpcl the puces of boconers, "\\hch fell fully 5s per head, but pox'keis aud stoics sold well. Baconfcvs 4d to 4UI pei lb. poikers 4Ad ; baconeis fetched 450 to W)s (3d, porkers 35s to 42s 6d, stores 20 3 to 3<)-> 6d, weaners 10s to 17s Gd, suckeis lls 9d to 13s.
