Cattle.— 2o6 fat cattle were yard fed, about one half being good to piime, the balance thiee paits fat steers and aged cows. The supply was m excess of icquhements and bidding was slack, puces being fiom 10s to 15s beiouv last week's. Best bullocks sold at £8 to £8 10b, medium JE6 5s to £7 10s, light £5 2s Gd to £5 17s Bd, and heifeis £6 10s to £8, otheis£3to£s. Sheep — 1921 fat sheep ireie penned, of which 100 weie meiinos. The laigei number were ewes but there were several lines veiy pnrat, the balance being indiffeient. The few wetheis which weie penned weie all pume* All be'ttei demand pievailed for both wetheis and ewes, and pricfts weie better by Is than last week's. Extra heavy wetheis sold at 15s; pume ciossbied wetheis 12s 6d to 14&, medium 10s 6d to 11s 9d, extra heavy ewes 13s to 13s 9d, good 9s 6d to 10s 6d, medium 8s (5d to 9s, nieiino Wetheis 8s 6d to 9s 9d. Only 899 fat lambs wcie penned. All weie well competed foi and puces weie If per head abo\e last week. Best bold at 9s 9d to 10s, medium 8s (3d to 9s 6d, small 6s 9d to 7s 6d.
