DUtfEblN February & Cattle. — 131 head of fat cattle were" yarded, the greater part being good to prime. The supply being small really prime oxen sold at rather" better prices, and other" sorts were firm at late rates. Best bullocks brought £8 to J!10, others £5 10s to £7 iss, best heifer's £5 to £0 12s 6d, others £3 10s to £4 15s. Sheep. — 2795 fat sheep Were penned. The bulk were aged ewes of medium quality, with an odd pen or two of prime wether's. The latter brought fully late quotations, but ewes being 1 in excessive supply suffered a fall of Is to 2s per head. Best crossbred wethers sold at 11s 6d to 14<3 9d, others 10s 3d to 11s 3d, best young ewes 9s to 10s 9d, others 6s to 8s 9d. 1693 fat lambs were penned. Most of these were stores, the rest being butchers'

lines and some 3inall lots suitable for freezing. The latter sold at Late rates but othors were easier. Best lines brought 9s to 10s 6d, medium 7s 6d to Sa 9d, others 5s 9d to 7s 3d. "Whett. — There is a little demand at reduced pi ices for prime northern velvet aud tuscan, but other descriptions are neglected. Best Tiorthern velvet and tuaCcin are quoted at 2s 9d to 2s lOd, fowl wheat Is. 9d to 2s. Oils.— The demand is slack and rates are hai dto make. E\ en at reduced prices inferior v, diiacult to place. Best feed is quoted at la 7u to Is 7 Vet, Sutherlanda Is Oct. i3arlev — Feed barley is quoted at 2s to 2i «od, milling '2s 6d to 2j yd, malting 3s to 3s tid.
