(BT OtTB OWN CORBBSPONDENT.) , The concert given on Friday, Oct 28th, by Miss Falconer and her pupils was a great success. The night was fine and the school* Toom was comfortably filled. Messrs A. Philip, SL Ferguson and J. McTaggart from Waimata gave their assistance, and added largely to the hilarity of the evening. Mr P. Henderson, as ■chairman, introduced the performers and moved a vote of thanks to all who had assisted at the concert. "The following is the - jprogramme, which was an excellent one throughout : — Duet (piand), " Sunbeams," Miss Falconer and Mrs Henderson ; duet ■(Bong), " Come over, the moonlit sea," Miss ' Falconer and Mrs Henderson; duet (piano), " Don Pasquale," Miss Seaman and Miss D. - L Byan }< duet (piano), •' Bonnie Dundee," Miss ' .Falconer and Miss M. Morton ; song, " Mary .. of jJLrgyle,'" Mr A. Philip:' encore^ "The anchor's weighed." Here an, interval of five minutes' was followed by a w duet (piano), "Retreat march," Miss' E. Faulkner and Master P. Hanley ; comic .trio, " The ■ three old maids of Lee,'.' in character, Miss Falconer, Mrs Henderson *nd Misa M. Morton : sdna.

Thi« song is always welcomi to the "Vyaihao boyi, especiallyjwhen they areinvitid to join in the chorus. The concert came' to a clos« by -Mr H. Ferguson singing "Betsy Clump," , and for an encore adding a- stanza of his own, which was well received. 1 Miss Falooner accompanied (the gentlemen's songs, -and Master P..H»nley,<.did, the same, very nicily for the ladies.
