Late advices from China report that a violent and destructive typhoon had visited the harbour of Hong- Kong, causi, „• great injury to shipphg ports, j Several vessels were driven ashore, and ' beca; v> total wrecks. Many were I ua-lly Jamaged or disabled, and the > destruction among the Chinese craft was very extensive, the shore being slrewn for miles with fragments and ! wrecked material.
