THE WARDENS' ROOM.
TO THE EDITOR OS THE WJSST COAST TIMES. Sir — Would you believe it that a room at the old Police Camp, in the same building as' the District Engineer's and the Inspector of Weights and Measures offices, and which was formerly occupied by Mr Inspector Brohani, has been reserved as a sleeping place for two of the Golduelds Wardens when they may come into town. I think, sir, that these gentlemen, when they find ifc convenient to come into Hokitika, might sleep for the night at a respectable hotel, instead of pigging together in this room at the .old Police Camp, Hokitika. Surely their salaries and allowances are sufficient to enable them to pay for a bed at an hotel. I am, etc., Asjiodeus. Kanieri, Oct. 23, 188/.
