GREYMOUTH.
The " Argus" of Saturday reports :—: — The business of the past week has not been marked with any change calling for special notice. A decided improvent, however, which we trust may be permanent, may be noted in the up-river trade ; and it is evident from the supplies going forward that the reports from Moonlight, Nelson Creek, &c, must have caused a considerable accession to the population of those diggings. Coastwise, that is to the Buller and intermediate ports, the usual average of shipments have been made. The imports of the week consist; of the cargoes, of general mechandise, of the Io from Melbourne, Florence and Enterprise from Hokitika, and the Nelson from Nelson. Values of nearly all articles remain without change. Adelaide flour may be quoted at about Ll9 ; potatoes, L 7 ; oats. 4s ; bran, 2s ; chaff, Ll7. At the only auction sale held during the week, Messrs D. Maclean and Co. sold, ex 10, oats, 3s 9d ; bran, Is 9d ; chaff, Lls.
