Ddbbo, December 8. The mail from Bourke and L>wer Macquarie was attacked ye-terday at Narra mine, twenty-five miles below 1 <übbo. Mr Grenfeli, Crown Lands Commissioner for ftourke. who was passenger v resi-ted, ond fired. The bu-hrangers returned the fire, woundinjr Mr Grenfeli. The robbers were beaten off. and the mail arrived safe in Dubbo. The police have pone in pursuit. December 10. Mr Grenfeli, who was shot by bushrangers while he was successfully protecting the mail, died here yesterday, at 7 p.m. An inquest is to be held to-day. Goulburn. December 10. Harry Suis, the Chinaman, who murdered Ah Wong, was ex< cuted this morning. His death was instantaneous. He protested his innocence.
