An armistice was refused by the Austrians. Discount remains at ten per cent. June 29th. Another battle has been fought in Bohemia, in which the Prussians were victorious. The Hanoverian army surrendered to the Prussians.
The Italians have abandoned their position on the Po, in order to concentrate their army. July 2. The Austrians have been defeaied in Bohemia. The Great Eastern has sailed with the Atlantic cable. July 3. I Lord Derby has succeeded in forming a Ministry. The new Ministry are constituted as follows : — Premier, the Earl of Derby ; Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Disraeli ; Foreign Secretary, Lord Stanley; Home Secretary, Mr Walpole ; Colonial Secretary, Lord Caernarvon; War Secretary, Colonel Peel ; First Lord of the Admiralty, Sir John Pakington ; Secretary for India, Lord Cranbourne ; Lord Chancellor, Lord Chelmsford; President of Board of Trade, Sir Stafford JJorthcote ; Attorney General, Sir Hmgh Cairns; Solicitor General, Mr Bovill.

The Austrians, who numbered 40,000 men, were in full retreat. July sth. The Austrians have ceded Venetia to France, and accepted the mediation of Napoleon to conclude terms of peace.
