Arrived. — .Wallabi, s.s., from the West Coast ; Lord Ashley, from Sydney, via Hokitika.

Tho four men who Were arrested for the Maungalapu murders have been minutely examined, and marks found upon their persons corresponding with those upon the supposed murderers of Mr Dobson. They aimed in Nelson fvom Greymouth in the "Wallibi on the 6th instant. Active search is being prosecuted for the four missing men whose pack-hoiso was found shot at tho bottom of a deep ravine with a swag attached to the saddle. The men have not been discovered aud the, greatest excitement prevails iv consequence. [The detention of the above telegram at Christchurch is owing to the late accident to the telegraphic wires, which were broken down by tho neavy gale of Thusday night in three places between the Bealey and Christchuroh, and the necessary repairs were not completed until noon this day, It will be seen that this telegram followed immediately upon the one which was received by the Police on Thursday afternoon, and published in tho " West Coast Times'' upon the following morning.]"
