r\ ENTLEMEN,— I havo nuieh pleasure in acceding to the request contained in your Requisition of yesterday, inviting me to allow myself to be nominated as one of the members of tho Municipal Council now shortly to be established in Hokitika. I havo watched with much interost tho steady and oortain advancement of Westland 5 and look with tho most cheerful confidonco to its future; and I will, if olected, do my utmost to aid all measures that I may conceive to bo conducive to its prosperity.
