LondoNj April 26. In commercial and financial business, great chronic distrust continues observable. Consols, BGf for delivery ; 86£ for account. Foreign securities greatly fallen. Discount, 5J to 6 per cent. In the cotton market, prices are in favour of buyers. Finance and Credit Shares have slightly improved. Reports current of anticipated failures render buyers more cautious. Eameds Banking Co., and Kirkpatrick and Balguy, sugar refiners, have stopped payment. Colonial Government securities.—Victorian 6 per cent., April and October, 103 to 104 ; New Zealand 6 per cent., 94 to 96 ; New South Wales 5 per cent., 1866, no quotations ; ditto, 1871 to 1876, 93 to 95 ; Queensland 6 per cent., January and July, 98 to 100 ; South Australian C per cont., 1878 and upwards, 105 to 107,'
