Flour — This ninrk&t continues to bo very depressed, owing to the lute heavy arrivals from California and Chili, and as v great many more vessels may bo daily expected to arrive, thcro is a general beliof that prices must still rule lower. Adelcido has givon way about 20s per ton — tho present quotations being ,C2O to JC2I 10s ; Onliforniau £18 to £19. The cargo of tho Marof Argylo was sold at auction at prices rangiug from £18 15s to £18 pop ton. Ohiliun is ' quoted £16 to £17 pov ton, but at theso prises only small lots can bo sold. Wheat is about Gd* per bushel lowor ; Adelaide, 8s 3d j Californian, 7s 3d to 7s 6d. Tho wheat ex Marquis of Argjo was sold at auotiou at 7s 3d to 7s sd ; Chilian nominal. Liquids. — Alo in bulk remains steady at £7 10i to £7 12s Od ; portor in bulk, £7 5s to £7 10a. Bottled ale ranges from Bs, 6d. to 10s. fld Bottled porter continues very scarce, and first brands coinmand'lOs (id. Brandy is not quite so firm, and has given way about 3d per gallon ; MnrteHV, 7s to 7s 3d. Rum, 30 0.p., is still quoted at 3s 2d to 3s 4d. Geneva, first brands, ranges from 10s t to lls. In wines, uorae large parcels of common sherries and ports were placed at auction yesierday at full rates. Firat-class sherries and ports are saleable at extreme rates. Teas are without any alteration in price, but the market is a shade firmer. Tho damaged portion of the cargo of the Amaranth was sold at auction yesterday, and realised satisfactory prices. Sugars continu* firm, and the lato advances lias been maintained. Rice — There is very little doing in tbia article, and supply being very short, Patna is nominally L 25 to L 27 per ton. Coffee is not so firm. Manilla, B|d to 84d per lb, in bond; plantation, ll|d per lb, in bond. Candles are still in request, and show a further advance of id per lb. Fullwcights, 15d to 15^1 per lb. Lightweights, none in the market. Sale is hardly so firm. Liverpool, L37s Cd to L 3 129 Cd ; fino, £3 12s Gd to £3 17s Gd por ton j rook, £5 58 to £5 15s por ton. Tobacco — Sound Southern ncgrohcad is iv demand, and what fow shipments wo havo inovo off at from 2s to 2s 3d. Goid Western twist is principally an export article at from Is 3d to Is 6d. Southern tens aro inquired after for tho Melbourno market ; and all first-class brands are becoming considerably reduced ; tlieso are worth from Is 4d to Is 6d., lower qualities from 6d to Is.
