The Duily Times of tho 22nd inst., roports :— There has been a fail* ninount of trado going forwaid both for country -and town requirements, though nothing of ft vory special oliaractor is noticeable in tho transactions of the day. The only operations in flour have been small trade parcels, which lmvo been placed at the quotations current since tho 17th. The aspect of this article is as yet unchanged, but the next advices from the Australian markets may effect some slight change Bulk ales remain without any improvement, but thoro has been active onquiry for bottled-beers j and sales of some magnitude tiro in course of being miulo. Provisions still maintain very high rates.
