During Hie past week very little businoss lias beeu doing, chiefly owing to the Christmas holidays. No transactions of any amount have taken place. Prices maintain, our last quotations with very little alteration. Hart's and other brands of Adelaide ilonr remain At L3l per ton. Chilian, L 25 to L2O per ton, purchasers only taking lots for present use.

Tito domand for horso feed has been limited to small parcels. Oats dull of sale at 8s to 9s per bushel. Chaff, L 24 per ton. Bian, 3s per bushel.

Hams and bacon still maintain a steady demand at Is lOd per lb for hams, and Is 8d for bacon, Jsuttcr : [good colonial is worth 2s lo 2s 2d per lb.

Teas and sugars have been dealt with in limited parcels at prices sustaining recent value.

Checso is still scarce, nnd i worth, for prime North Wilts or double Gloucester, 2s per lb ; good colonial, Is 8d per lb.

There has been sonio business doing in wines and spirits, prices are, however, unaltered. Hennessey's and Martell's palo brandy biing Os to 9s 6d per gal ; other well known brands about 9s per gal., lowering ; geneva, JDKZ, 18s to 19s ; old torn, L 2 per case (duty paid). Wines meet with a fair demand, at prices according to quality. Bottled beer, JB.<s to 20s pordoz.

Oilmen's Stores : Groceries and dried fruits are disposed of at prices that loavc the importer a fair margin of profit, the sales only being for present use.
