WILSON, BURNELL, CO.'S STOCK REPORT.
Wilson, Burnell nnd Co report the following sales effected by them :—: — October 20th— 64 head, belonging to Messrs Garforth, Morrison and Co, at an average of L 32. 23rd— 55 head, belonging to Messrs Harris, Grieves nnd Co, at an average of L3l 10s. 26th— 17 head, belonging to tho beforementioned at an average of L 22 10s ; nnd, on the same day, from the station of E B Walker, Esq, View Hill, Oxford, a few head, at an average of L 34. November 2nd — 20 head, belonging to Messrs Garforth, Morrison and Co, nt an average of L2l 10s. 13th— 9 head, belonging to above, at an avoragoof L2l 10s. 22nd— 5 head, also belonging to above, at an average of Ll6. \ Tho last lots were of inferior quality and weight. 23rd— 39 head, belonging to Mr Mardon, at an average of L 25 10s. The above were really splendid cattle, both as regards quality and weight, but owing to the market being fully stocked at the time, did not realise as much as anticipated. We consider the market price per 'lb (in tho carcase) to be from lOd to 12d, according to quality. In other stock wo have nd transactions to report. Hokitika. 29th November, 1865.
