The Confederation scheme has beon rejected by New Brunswick by an overwhelming majority; but espressing true loyalty to tho British throne, the Kxnoutivo - nsaevt that Bolf Government is useless if tho province is compelled to yield on this important question to tho wishes of the mother country. Tho English Government still urges the scheme.
