The schooner Julia, Wise, master, left Melbourne on the 26th ult ; passed through Buss's Straits on the 27th, on the 4th instant she sighted Mount Cook, and t he day after anchored off Ilokitika. She experienced strong W. and N.W. winds during tho passage, and a very heavy gale between Mount Cook and this port. The schooner Pat the Rover, Talent, master, passed through Port Phillip Heads on the 20th ult. Had strong westerly breezes all the way acro3s. Made the land of New Zealand on the 27th ult. Since then, strong breezes and gales. Anchored in the roadstead on the Ist October The brigantine Susannah Booth, Clulow, master, left Dunedin on the 6th ult. She experienced N.W gales the whole passage, and •when in Cook's Straits the weather was most severe. Arrived off Ilokitika on the 27th ult , and until yescerday she has been lying at anchor in the roadstead. The. schooner Panglier, Clark, master, left Port Philip heads on the 20th ult. During her pawnge fine weather and moderate breezes prevailed, and on the 20th ult. sho anchored ip. the roadstead of Hokitika. Mary Van Every, Macphaiden, master, left Dunedin on tho 12th ult., with strong S.K. breezes. Anchored in Patorson's Inlet, S'ewart's Island, tho samo night. Left again the next day, and after boating about against adverse winds the whole passage, anchored off Hokitika on the 27th. Experienced strong west winds during the voyage
