CHINA.
Hong Kong, June 29. The rebellion is ragiug in North China, and rapidly assuming formidable dimensions, the rebels having approached within 100 miles of the metropolis. All the available disciplined troops near Shanghai have been sent for, and four steamers chartered from foreign firms to convey the garrison to Tientsin. Two sailing vessels have also been employed. Tho force amounts to 7000 men.
There is nothing of importarcc from Japan or the other ports.
