“PASTEURISED” CATTLE

(O.C. Raetihi, March 7. A misprint in a remit on the order paper before the'munlcfpal conference at Rotorua this week, was the subject of much merriment. The remit, lodged by the Rotorua Borough Council, referred to cattle being "pasteurised.” In reply to the chairman’s question: "What is meant by pasteurised cattle?” The Mayor of Rotorua said: “We at least have sufficient hot water to do it!" A voice: The Health Department will be pleased!
