RETENTION MONEY NOW 10 PER CENT. The Wanganui Woolbrokers’ Association has been advised bv the Marketing Department that its intention is to nay for new season’s wool less a deduction of 10 per cent., instead of the usual 5 ner cent. No official informat on has been received by the wcolbrckers as to why the additional 5 per cent, is being retained. The 10 ner cent, reduction applies to the Wanganui crutchings appraisal held on August 18. Crutchings su.bmilted at this appraisal were valued on the new schedule, included in which is the 15 ner cent, increase recently granted by the Unite I Kingdom Government.
