REPUBLICAN CABINET CONFERRING
EARLY STATEMENT EXPECTED Received March 1, 10.20 p.m. MADRID, March 1. After a conference with the civil and military authorities at Alicante, Dr. Negrin, the Home Minister, Senor Gomez, and the Labour Minister, Senor Moix, left for a secret rendezvous where the rest of the Republican Cabinet awaited, them for a meeting which was still continuing at midnight. A statement is expected today.
