A match between Taihape and Rangiwahia was played at Taihape during the week-end and resulted in a win for the local team. Taihape batted first and knocked up 168 runs, the chief scorers being J. Quinn (71) and D. Coleman (41), Quinn’s score included one six and twelve 4’s, his performance being one

of the highlights of the match. Coleman also batted well for his 41, while Peed contributed a useful 23. Rangiwahia replied with 144, of which Stuckey contributed a well-deserved 41, Amadio made 22 and Pawson and Cotter 19 each.
