UNHAPPY NOOJEE
FLOOD FOLLOWS FIRE MELBOURNE, Feb. 27. Noojee, a township that was wiped out by bush fires last month has been flooded by heavy rain and the homeless residents, who have been living in tents, had a struggle to save their few belongings from being swept away by the flooded Latrobe River. Working waist deep in watt?- police and volunteer helpers saved what they could of tents, clothes, and other property.
