SWIMMING

SCHOOL’S SPORTS RESULTS FROM ARAMOHO The annual swimming sports of the Aramoho School were held in the school baths last Friday. The glorious weather which prevailed attracted a large attendance of parents and friends of the pupils. A large number of events were decided and many close finishes were witnessed. The success of the sports reflects great credit on the manner in which the handicapping was carried out by Mr. Douds (headmaster) and hia assistant, Mr. Bradshaw. Special mention must also be made of the asistance given by Mr. Claude Firman and Mr. Allen Peachey. During an interval in the proceedings a large number of certificates, won by the pupils at the inter-schooi sports, were presented to the winners by Mr. W. G. Price, chairman of the school committee. He congratulated the successful pupils and also the teachers on the fact that there were practically 75 per cent, of the children attending the school who were able to swim.
