Mrs. S. C. Carter, of Ngarua, Waikato, is holidaying with friends in Wanganui.
Mrs. H. Hague Smith. Wanganui East, leaves this week for Auckland, where she will in future reside.
Mrs. R. S. Allwright, who has been visiting Wellington, has returned to Wanganui.
Miss Mavis Cunningham, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. D. A. Morrison, Selwyn Street.
Mrs. J. Ashwell left yesterday for Napier with Jier husband, who is to attend a Rotary conference.
Miss A. Holst, who has been on a trip to England, will arrive by the Wanganella in Auckland to-day.
The Misses M. and N. Coyle have returned from an enjoyable holiday spent at the Sounds.
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Lourie, Miss Jean Lourie, and Miss Marie Lourie, of Hunterville. were visitors to Wellington during the week.
Miss Betty Byers, of New Plymouth, who has been the guest of Mrs. A. Tasker, Makirikiri, left yesterday for Palmerston North.
Mr. Mavis Zane arrived at Auckland on Saturday, by the Mataroa, to take up her appointment to the school medical service as inspector of schools.
Nurse Bransford, who has been away from Wanganui for some considerable time, has returned to W anganui and is at present staying with Mrs. W. Carveli.
Mrs. N. B. Gibbons and Misses J. and B. Gibbons, of Wellington, were in Wanganui this week.
Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Werry and Miss Eunice Werry motored to Wellington, to farewell Miss Julie Werry, who left yesterday on her return to Sydney. Miss Eunice Werry is remaining in Wanganui for another month before returning to Australia.
Miss Sybil Ross, "Letham," Wangalui, is visiting New Plymouth, where ;he’ is to be a bridesmaid at the wedling of Miss Barbara Skeet (formerly >f Wanganui) and Mr. R. Nelson, vhich takes place to-day.
Miss E. Dawes and Miss C. Dawes af Westmere, will arrive in Auckland cn Monday, from Suva, having completed a two years’ nursing engagement there. They will return to Wanganui on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Lady Fletcher, of London, arriveit Auckland by the Mataroa on Satur day, and was met by her husband, Si Lionel Fletcher, a director of Dalget; and Company, Ltd. They intend t spend several weeks in New Zealanbefore going to Australia and return inc to England, by the Dominion Mon arch.
Mrs. G. C. Powell, Broadway, Marton, left Palmerston North, by plane, tor Christchurch, via Blenheim, where she is spending a holiday with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. F. Partridge Selwyn Huts, Christchurch.
