GALILEE’S RETURN TO FORM

! JUST WINS IN EXCITING FINISH After a number of disappointments Galileo showed a return to form in winning the Piako Handicap at. 1 e Aroha this week, in an exciting finish in which the first four horses were separated by narrow margins. Galilee reached the front at the end of two furlongs and was never afterwards headed, although strongly challenged at the end by Pirate King and Jayola, who filled the minor places. Jayola appeared likely to head Galilee when he ran up to her at the distance, but Galilee finished slightly the better. Rulette ran another good race for fourth, and Ivar did well to get fifth after being last early, evidently being squeezed back as the field jumped out. Little Artist and Valspear were prominent but. weakened in the last furlong.
