DRAW FOR NEXT SATURDAY (’LI B COMPETITIONS. On Saturday next clubs in the Wanganui Baseball Association will resume their competitions. Fol Io whig is the draw:— Harriers A v Watiganui East, Helmore Street ground No. 1, at 3.30 p.m., Messrs. C. H. Bensel and M. Olsen. Star A v Pirates, Gonville No. 1. 3.30 p.m., Messrs. A. H. Mandahl and W. Deerness. Sash and Door v. Merewethers, Gonville No. 2,2 p.m., Messrs. A. H. Bandahi and A. F. Newrick. United v. Watersiders A. Helmore Street No. 2, 3.30 p.m., Messrs. A. L. Quinn and G. A. McDougal.

Watersiders B v Star B, Helmore Street No. 1,2 p.m., Messrs. A. L. Quinn and M. Olsen. Post and Telegraph v. Harriers B, Gonville No. 2, 3.30 p.m., Messrs. K. R. Rivers and A. F. Newrick. Two baseball teams travelled to Taihape on Sunday, where Merewethers played a Taihape team, the score being 38 to 17 in favour of Merewethers. There was also an exhibition game between Star and Merewethers.

The games were watched by one of the largest number of spectators seen on Taihape showgrounds on a Sunday for a long while. This visit should send baseball along in Taihape, as visitors and local players alike had a very enjoyable day. The weather was perfect for the display.
