WINNING OWNERS’ LIST WIDE DISTRIJBUTION LAST WEEK. The success of Siegmund in the Wanganui Cup earned for his owner, Mr. F. Kettlewell, of Johnsonville, £450 in stake money and the £5O cup attached to the event, and this resulted in his owner being placed at the head of the list of winning owners at the Wanganui Jockey Club’s autumn meeting last week. Mr. T. A. Duncan (Hunterville) had a good innings with Laughing Lass, Ecstatic, Entheos and La Bru, scoring two wins, three seconds and a third for a total of £390. Next on the list of winners was Mr. M. Millar, of Palmerston North, for whom Varimond and Play On earned £345 as a result of their successes in the Juvenile Handicap and the Earle Stakes respectively. Mr. J. F. Kiley won two races with Te Huia, his share being £245. Mr. L. G. Paul secured £215 with Amigo, and Mr. G. D. Beatson. with Red Witch and Sternchase, secured £207 10s. Mrs. L. G. Connop (Lady Stella first and second), Mr. T. H. Lowry (White Gold first and second), and Mr. B. La Pouple (Le Marquis first and second) each was responsible for £l4O in stake-money. Moore 10 TRAINERS AND JOCKEYS Sixteen events were decided at the Wanganui Jockey Club's autumn meeting, which concluded on Saturday, but with the dead-heat in which Red Witch and Morning Flight were associated on Thursday there were 17 successes to the credit of trainers and jockeys.

The Hawera stable of R. Erough provided three winners, Te Huia scoring a double and Fiancee also being successful. L. G. Morris, Awapuni, had two winners, these being Ecstatic and Laughing Lass. A. E. Neale, Bulls, with Varimond and Play On, had a like number, and Mr. G. D. Beatson, Hastings, was also represented by Red Witch and Sternchase. Trainers with one winner each were; V. H. Colello, Hastings (Lady Stella) G. W. B. Greene, Hastings (Morning Flight), H. B. Lorigan, Trentham (Siegmund), Mr. L. G. Paul, Wanganui (Amigo), G. A. Reid, Waverley (Don Erma), T. R. George. Trentham (Pearl of Asia), Mr. B. La Pouple, Hawera (Le Marquis), and Mrs. A W. McDonald, Awapuni (White Gold).

Hawera and Hastings stables provided four winners each, Awapuni three, and Bulls and Trentham two apiece. The other two winners were from Wanganui and Waverley. B. H. Morris was the most successful rider, winning on Ecstatic, White Gold, Sternchase and Laughing Lass. W. J. Broughton (Fiancee and Amigo), I. Howe (Varimond and Pearl of Asia), and B. Stowe (Morning Flight and Play On) each piloted two winners. Jockeys with one winning mount each were I. Rohloff (Lady Stella), W. J. Mudtord (Red Witch), H. N. Wiggins (Siegmund), O. Evans (Te Hua), L. G. Albrey (Don Erma). H. J. Callahan (Le Marquis) and G. R. Tattersail (Te Huia).
