FEILDING SALE
TWENTY THOUSAND SHEEP OFFERED AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT A yarding of approximately 20,000 sheep came forward at the Feilding sale to only a fair attendance of buyers, report the associated auctioneers. In the two-tooth ewe section the market was easier with prices slightly down on last week. The aged ewes, although bidding was quiet, realised prices fully up locate rates. Store lambs and wethers met with a dull market and towards the end of the lamb sale practically no buyers were left to operate.
A good entry of fat sheep sold with values slightly easier. In the cattle section a medium lot of fat cattle came forward with prices at par, while the store cattle market was dull. Boner and dairy cattle showed no alteration in values.
